Dead Like Me: Life After Death

So I imported Dead Like Me: Life After Death, and too be honest, I didn't really like it that much.

I'm not saying it was bad, it just was no where near as good as the original series.  I can't really place my finger on why exactly I didn't like it.  Maybe I just missed Rube (I do, but I don't think that's it); maybe it was because I couldn't help feeling like all of the character development from the series (concerning Daisy and Mason in particular) had just been thrown out the window. I missed Der Waffle Haus too.

It definitely had its up moments though.  It was nice to see Reggie a bit more, and I loved it when Mason gave Daisy the flower after leaving the theatre, I also enjoyed how the reapers killed Cane.  Aside from the aforementioned character development issues, the characters seemed to be very much themselves (well Daisy not so much, but that could have something to do with the fact that she, well, wasn't herself...) and it was nice to see the gang back together (except Rube).  Gotta' love Mason especially.

All in all, I enjoyed it, and think it was worth seeing, but it's nothing compared to the series, it just didn‘t have the same feel.

Now I'm off to go re-watch my DVDs.
